Typical Day in the Life of Oliva Bell

I woke up at 6 am for school, like any other day, but this day I was epically tired, and cold. Luckily I had my pink knee high fuzzy socks on. So I got out of bed got ready for school and headed out the door. I had my pink polo on with my school logo on it and my uniform navy pants. I had my Sperry topsiders on. We pulled up to the school and I was a little early so I hung out in the lobby with a teacher's kid named Lily. 7:45, 7:50, 7:58, two minutes till class, and I had my books for English class. I sat down in the spot in the back row. We started our morning off in God's Word. The morning fatigue was still lingering. I stretched and happened to look down at my feet. I still had my knee high NEON PINK FUZZY socks on with my Sperry's!!!!!!!!!!! I was only allowed to wear white socks to school. And not to mention I looked like a moron with them on. I had to try to cover them up. I got out of class and ripped them off. Then my friend Clayton asked why the heck I had those socks with me and I kinda had to explain on the way to speech class...yep that's me...and that's unfortunately a typical day in the life of Olivia Bell...

Through it all!!

Ever had something happen to you, something really bad that crushes you? Something that brings your life to a complete halt? I had two family member pass away, member that I have never met before but somehow deeply loved. It hurt me, and put my life on hold. For several days I would cry myself to sleep. I began to wonder why and how could this happen to me? I stilled knew that God loved me, but if He did...why did He do it? I heard a song, sung by Selah called Through it All, and
a line of the song said

If I never had a problem, who would have known that He could solve them, wouldn't know what faith in His word could do.

This statement is so beyond incredibly true. Think about it, if you had never been hit with this bad thing that happened to you, you might have never realized that you needed to trust in Christ! I know (hope) that most of you have already accepted Jesus as you Savior, but you never fully realize that you need Him until that moment. I know I didn't. What I'm about to say is extreamly hard to do, try to be thankful for what happened, because if it hadn't happened, you might not be so strong in your faith as you are today. Being thankful for a hardship is probably is one of THE hardest things to do, but I encourage you too. A good friend once told me
this;

Sometimes God has to throw pain at us to knock some sense into us.

Sometimes God has to give us pain to remind us that we need to trust in Him, and Him alone.

Now don't take this the wrong way, God doesn't take pleasure in bringing us pain, He does it for our own good, He does it to bring us back to Him.

Grace by laura story

This is one of my favorite songs! It made me cry the very first time I heard it because it really makes you think about how much God gives us grace. We often forget how many times He picks us up when we keep on letting Him down. Always remember that. I hope this song makes you feel the way I felt the first time I heard. I hope you feel loved by your heavenly Father. :)

Welcome to On the Palm of My Hand!

Hello everyone! I'm soo excited to have my own blog. Some of you might know me because I use to co-blog with Annie Lauren (We're Gonna Turn Out Okay) and now we have our own! So I know it looks really bad right now, but like I said on Annie's blog, I will have it up, running and beautiful by Friday! As you can tell, my name of the blog is part of a Bible verse. It is saying that God has you engraved on the palm of His hand, He will never, never, never forget you(:
